Sookie watches as a gorgeous blonde emerges from the spring. She's approached by Claudine, a beautiful woman with an English accent, who escorts her into this magical land, dips a crystal vase into a shimmering spring and pours Sookie a drink of glowing water. She opens the door onto some sort of Eden populated by dancing and lolling people in white. As Jason and Tara pray over Sookie, Sookie wakes up in some sort of alternate, much better-lit universe, cleaned up, perfectly coiffed, in a diaphanous gown, and following a trail of rose petals. Sam sets the alarm off in the kennel and lets the dogs go as everyone rushes inside, Sam heads to the ring, where Ma Mickens says brightly, "Hello son!"Īt the hospital, Jason says he knows he has a blood type, and that Sookie has never really been sick before.

Pa Mickens and Dog Tommy get into the ring with a vicious-looking rottweiler (correct me if I'm wrong), and to her credit, Ma Mickens looks sick. In the ring, Tommy (as a pitbull, with Ma Mickens in the flesh at his side) watches as a losing dog gets shot and tossed in a heap. When the guy's back is turned, Sam morphs back - lucky his neck is small than the pit bull's, I guess - and takes him out in one punch. He pulls up somewhere secluded and transforms into a pit bull and makes his way over the fights, where he allows someone to collar him and walk him back to the cages. The man ain't buying it, and Sam drives off. Sam's accent also gets thicker by the second. Because he has all of his teeth and appears to bathe daily. Sam somehow tracks down the dogfighting locale, and tries to finesse his way past the shotgun-toting ticket-taker, who tells him Sam doesn't look like the dogfighting type. He locked her in the room, and they all pile in the van as a pack of Weres tear after them. Debbie can't believe Alcide picked a fangbanger over a Were, and vows to hunts him down. Two villains down in less then 10 minutes. Cooter busts in, and Alcide takes him out in two shots. Sookie screams - duh - and Tara jumps Debbie, while Alcide picks up the gun. Tara, who, by the way, is totally awesome, tells Sookie telepathically to create a distraction so she can take out Debbie. Alcide tenderly tries to appeal to her, and then we find out why they broke up - Alcide didn't want children because he didn't want to create another Were. Unfortunately, they're interrupted by a gun-wielding Debbie Pelt, who wouldn't mind some "vampire burrito." As Alcide tries to reason with Debbie, Sookie takes a looksie on her V-addled brain and says Debbie is pretty serious about using the gun. Sookie gets the manacles off Bill, and they wrap Bill up in a tarp. Tara thinks Bill is dead, but Sookie says, "When vampires are dead, this is what they look like," hilariously flinging a piece of Lorena around. Alcide and Tara pull up in his van and run into the torture chamber.
